The Short Version

We collect essentially nothing. PixelMaze is a client-side game — meaning everything happens right there in your browser. There's no server receiving your gameplay data, no analytics platform tracking your mouse movements, and certainly no advertising network building a profile based on how quickly you solve mazes.

Local Storage

The only data PixelMaze writes is your personal best score, saved to your browser's localStorage under the key "pm_b9". This never leaves your device. You can delete it any time through your browser's developer tools or by clearing site data. If you switch browsers or devices, the score doesn't follow you — because we have no mechanism (or desire) to sync it.

External Resources

We load two typefaces from Google Fonts (VT323 and Source Code Pro). When your browser requests these fonts, Google's servers see a standard HTTP request that includes your IP address — the same thing that happens on millions of websites. We have no access to any data Google may derive from this. If this concerns you, browser extensions like uBlock Origin or a local font override will prevent the request entirely without affecting gameplay.

Server Logs

If PixelMaze is hosted on a standard web server, access logs may be generated containing IP addresses, timestamps, and referrer headers. These are routine and are purged on a rolling basis. We do not mine these logs for personal information.

Children's Privacy

PixelMaze does not knowingly collect data from anyone, regardless of age. Since we don't collect personal information from any user, there is no special data handling needed for younger players.
